Meet Snuggs and Tommy, two new kitties helped by CIC
by Victoria Kline on 12/09/11
Snuggs and Tommy are our two newest cases here at CIC. Both are very special kitties who have touched our hearts. Both cats have been diagnosed with renal disease and need treatment. Thanks to the kindness of our wonderful donors, we were able to extend two Mesa Grants to help these very special kitties in need. We wish Snuggs and Tommy the absolute best in receiving their veterinary care!

3 New Cases: Puma, Oliver and Waffles all helped by your donations
by Victoria Kline on 10/01/11
Its been a busy time at Cats in Crisis. Over the past several weeks we've taken on three new kitties in need and reached out with financial contributions so that they were able to receive the veterinary treatment they each needed to live healthier, happier lives. Puma slipped out of his house and was injured, resulting in a pelvic injury. Your donations allowed for the evaluation, x-rays and treatment. He is now recovering at home. Oliver went through surgery to remove necrotic bone that was affecting his mobility. He is also recovering at home. Waffles recently underwent emergency treatment for a blocked urinary tract. All three cats represent what Cats in Crisis is all about...reaching out to in a time of crisis to help cats and the owners who cherish them. For everyone who donated....THANK YOU.

A Gillie Grant for Sparky
by Victoria Kline on 02/20/11
Sparky is a 1 and a 1/2 year old kitty that recently has been struggling with limited mobility and pain in his left hind leg. After being evaluated by a veterinarian, it was determined that he needed an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery to correct the issue. CIC was pleased to offer a Gillie Grant to help this special kitty. Sparky had surgery on Friday Feb 18th and is now at home recovering. We want to thank CIC's Donors for helping us reach out to this special kitty in need!

Little Stevie....recovered and loving life!
by Victoria Kline on 01/27/11
I wanted to post an update about this very special kitty. Little Stevie is fully recovered from his amputation surgery and is doing fantastic! His previous home didn't work out, but he has been adopted by a new, loving family and is very happy. He is having a great time romping around and playing with the family cat and dog and living life as fully as possible. I want to thank all of our donors for helping make this such a wonderful success story!

Accepting New Cases on a Limited Basis...
by Victoria Kline on 01/18/11Although incoming donations continue to be slow, we are re-open to accepting new applications on a very limited basis. We ask that you take the time to thoroughly read through our policies and procedures before submitting an application to make sure you meet our qualifications. Also, please be aware that our grant amounts range between $100-$200, so its best to apply to multiple organizations for veterinary financial assistance if you are dealing with medical expenses that are expensive. We have a listing of various veterinary assistance organizations on our Resources page for your convenience.

Little Stevie's Surgery: Update
by Victoria Kline on 12/08/10
Little Stevie had his amputation surgery yesterday and it went exceptionally well! He's doing great in recovery and will be going home this week to his foster home.....which has decided to adopt him permanently!! (and with a precious face like that, who can blame them?) We are so grateful to the many donors who assisted us so quickly with raising the funds to help this special kitten in need. With so many people pulling together from all over the US, this kitten was able to be saved from euthanasia and given a second chance at life.

Meet Chester, our newest Mesa Grant Recipient
by Victoria Kline on 12/05/10
Chester is a wonderful 14-year old cat who has been living with diabetes for a few years. Very recently he was also diagnosed with kidney disease. Cats in Crisis is pleased to offer a Mesa Grant so that this special kitty can receive on going treatment, fluid therapy and special medication for kidney disease. Thank you to all of our donors who helped make it possible to offer a Mesa Grant to help this senior kitty in need!
